As a business owner, it can be difficult to find the time to fully explore all the different ways Daylite can help you save time and money by helping you and your team work more efficiently.
Whether you are a visual or a hands-on learner, this guide offers you the opportunity to really discover how Daylite can support your business. This guide helps you understand some of the basic features of Daylite and how to use them. It is called, appropriately enough, Daylite Basics.
Are you ready?
Let’s get started…
Daylite Navigation
Daylite offers a detailed view of your workday, your to-do list, and your upcoming work week. The Daylite app is designed to help you stay organized and shows you everything you have planned, at a glance.
The Sidebar is located on the left side of the app. This is where you can browse your Contacts, Tasks, Emails, and more.
You can create what are known as New Objects by clicking on the New Object Menu . Adding a new object is just a fancy way of saying things like “I want to create a new task” or “I want to create a new contact.” This feature is contextual, meaning that if you have Calendar selected in the sidebar, the New Object menu will offer you + New Appointment ; if you have Contacts selected in the sidebar, you will be offered to add a + New Person .
You'll see a Notification Bell that turns bright red to show alerts and reminders for things like upcoming meetings and tasks. It's designed to draw attention to anything that might be urgent. You'll need to click on this bell to view your notifications.
When typing full or partial searches, you can use the Quick Search field to find what you are looking for in Daylite.
As you can see, the Home View changes depending on which Object you are looking at in the Sidebar. Daylite also remembers which object you were last looking at and will launch the Home screen accordingly.
In the screenshot below, you'll see your daily calendar on the left side, any items that are overdue or part of your work list in the center, and a list of upcoming tasks, follow-ups, or other events on the left side of your Daylite app.
Change your Object in the sidebar to People, for example, and the New Object menu will now offer to add a + New Person instead of a + New Appointment .
As a business owner, you need to know where to find information quickly, which will allow you to stay on track and focused. If an app is too complicated or difficult to navigate, its purpose is defeated.
The Daylite app is easy to use and has a lot to offer.
Organizational tranquility.
Apple Integration
From the beginning, Daylite has been designed to integrate with Apple. We have never been a Windows company nor do we offer Android versions of our software for download.
Did you know that Daylite's ability to seamlessly integrate with Apple is what sets us apart from other apps on the market today?
What does this mean to you?
This means you can sync your Daylite contacts with the Contacts app on macOS or iOS. This gives you the benefit of caller ID when you dial or receive calls on your iPhone.
You can overlay other calendars on your Daylite Calendar or sync your Daylite Calendar with the Calendar app.
You can receive reminders from Daylite for follow-ups and to-dos in the Reminders app on your iPhone or iPad.
Link your emails directly to Contacts, Projects, and Opportunities in Daylite, or create follow-ups, new contacts, and schedule appointments—all from within Apple Mail.
There are plenty of Apple integration examples out there, and this guide will help you explore some of them.
Third Party Integration
Your business is unique, and sometimes it takes more than one app to do everything you need. That’s where integrations come in.
Daylite integrates seamlessly with systems and applications such as:
• Mailchimp and DirectMail for email marketing, which allows you to send mass emails.
• Zoom, Zapier and Slack for collaboration, video conferencing or chats.
• Quickbooks for accounting.
It is this level of integration that helps Daylite stand out from many other CRM software on the market. We are constantly adding new apps to our Add-ons and Integrations page. This offers several advantages to your business.
Centralization – Daylite acts as the business management hub for your business. All of these other apps act as spokes in the wheel because they can all be linked to Daylite. By seamlessly integrating with apps you may already be using, you can focus on what’s important – growing your business.
Range of Integrations – With over a hundred different app integrations, you know there’s something to help you fill those gaps to make your business shine.
Saving you time : We've invested time to build relationships with a wide range of third-party developers, allowing Daylite to integrate with the programs you use every day.
Contacts Integration
We understand that the idea of importing your contacts can be really intimidating, especially if your business contacts number in the hundreds or even thousands. Will you have to enter each contact one by one? What happens if those contacts get lost or the information entered isn't entered into the correct fields?
If you feel your chest tighten just thinking about it, take a deep breath and relax.
Daylite has you covered.
Daylite imports your contact information, whether it's CSV files from spreadsheets or vCards from apps like Apple Contacts, ensuring that your information is placed exactly where it belongs.
Calendar Integration
Has your company recently transitioned from a PC environment to a Mac environment?
Maybe you have your calendars in different apps on your computer and you're trying to keep them better organized. Or maybe your work calendar and personal calendar are on completely different Macs. If you've ever missed an important meeting because your calendars don't talk, then Daylite is the solution.
